About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Kontich, Antwerp. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining financial controls, and supporting the management team with detailed financial insights to ensure sound financial decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Performing detailed trend and variance analysis to ensure the financial accuracy of all reports and to identify any discrepancies.
• Assisting with the preparation and management of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, focusing on accurate cash flow forecasting and overall financial health.
• Analyzing revenue and profitability metrics, including price and volume analysis, profitability by product or customer, and overall financial fluctuations.
• Evaluating financial performance, ensuring cost structures are optimized, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Handling general accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, and assisting with audits to ensure accurate financial records.

We would love to hear from you if you...

• Hold a master’s degree in finance, business economics, commercial engineering, or a related field.
• Have 1 to 4 years of work experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accountancy, and financial reporting.
• Are highly analytical and proficient in Excel.
• Can work independently and are results-driven with a hands-on approach.
• Have a structured work approach but can quickly adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Enjoy working in an environment that is "informal, but professional."
• Have a passion for winning, just like the rest of our team.
• Are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English; French is a plus.
